Friday 15th May
6:15pm - 7:15pm

If you are thinking of giving up part of your Friday evening to discuss a Sacred Text, something worth exploring is happening. Trust your intuition and come along.
If you feel like you ought to come along... Ah, now that’s juicy. We’re in the land of attachments! Definitely come along. You can bring your resistance, your guilt, your anger at giving up your Friday night. You’ll be in exactly the right place to look at all your (our) stuff.
This will be a great gathering to hang up hang ups, pick up others and explode our minds a little bit before getting right into our hearts to figure out what living an “unattached”, indeed, a liberated life might be like.
We’ll start in a battlefield. We may very well end in one but fingers crossed some cosmic revelations occur in between. We won’t be too desirous of such fruit thought. 😉 We’ll just see what happens. And we’ll do so with a lot of love and devotion.
The Bhagavad Gita or Song of the Beloved One, is a beautiful poem offering help and advice to anyone who is seeking healing, peace and freedom in a confusing world.
It might be helpful to read or listen to the Bhagavad Gita before you attend but all are welcome to come along.
(If you want to, you could read the text three times as preparation. First, simply as a story. Secondly, from the point of view of Arjuna and thirdly, from the point of view of Krishna. You could note the places where you get stuck or confused or annoyed, love it, hate it, agree or disagree…)
This evening may include chanting, asana and meditation.
We look forward to welcoming you to Madara's first Book Club event.
