Drop-in Class - £18

  • Valid for 20 days from date of purchase.

  • Drop-in class cannot be shared, extended or refunded.

10 Class Packs - £165

  • Valid for 3 months from date of purchase.

  • Class packs cannot be shared, extended or refunded.

Rolling Monthly Membership - £145 a month

  • Starts from date of purchase.

  • Billed every month.

  • 1 Month Minimum commitment required.

  • Memberships cannot be suspended, refunded or shared between clients.

  • Memberships can be cancelled at any time.

  • Members receive one guest pass each month.

  • The studio reserves the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms at any time.

Annual Monthly Membership - £130 a month

  • Starts from date of purchase.

  • Billed every month.

  • 12 Months commitment required.

  • Memberships cannot be suspended, refunded or shared between clients.

  • Members receive one guest pass each month.

  • The studio reserves the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms at any time.

Yearly Membership - £1500

  • Starts from date of purchase.

  • Billed once.

  • Memberships cannot be suspended, refunded or shared between clients.

  • Memberships can be cancelled at any time.

  • Members receive one guest pass each month.

  • The studio reserves the right to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these Terms at any time.

Class Refund Policy

  • Drop-in classes are valid for 20 consecutive days from the date of purchase and are strictly non-refundable and cannot be shared.

  • In the event of a cancellation by the studio, you are entitled to a full refund.

  • Any card refund approved by the studio manager may be subject to a 10% admin fee.

  • Cancellations due to travel disruptions will not be refunded.

  • Early cancellation: if you cancel your reservation up to 2 hours before the class. You can reuse the credit towards another class.

  • Late cancellation: if you cancel less than 2 hours before the class or do not show up. Your drop-in, class package or membership will be charged and no refund will be provided.

  • Change of instructors: In the event that a change of instructor occur after you have booked a class, including last minute changes, we will not be able to return a credit back if you wish not to attend. Madara aims to ensure the class proceeds with another fully qualified teacher.

Workshops

  • A refund will be issued for cancellations made more than 7 days before the start date of the event. A 10% admin fee will be deducted from the initial payment. We do not issue refunds for cancellations made less than 7 days. 

  • If you are unable to attend the event because of health problems, we can offer you to move your booking to a different session already published or receive a refund minus 10% admin fee, after receiving a doctor’s note. In order to receive a refund or move to a different session, you must notify us before the session occurs. No refund or transfer to another session if you notify after the session.

  • A refund (minus 10% admin fee) will be issued if a workshop is sold out and there is a waiting list.

  • If you would like to transfer your reservation to another client, you should email us to update the records at least 24 hours before the event and make sure they sign the liability waiver.

  • Madara reserves the right to cancel the course or workshop at any time. If the course or workshop is cancelled prior to the starting date, it may be rescheduled and if students cannot attend the new course or workshop, 100% refunds will be made, or the option of being transferred to another workshop or course of equal value. Madara is not responsible for any costs, such as transportation, accommodation or any additional loss.

  • Course prices will not be prorated if you are not able to attend all of the sessions.

  • Please refrain from walking in without a confirmation that you have been moved to the event; we will not be able to accommodate you If the class is full.

Merchandise

  • Merchandise and retail items purchased at the studio cannot be returned or refunded.

  • Gift Cards: All gift cards are valid for 3 months from the date of sale.

Liability Waiver

  • By registering with Madara, you are in agreement:

  • That you are participating voluntarily in a class, course or workshop offered by Madara Yoga Studio. You recognise that yoga requires physical exertion that may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and you are fully aware of the risks and hazards involved. You represent and warrant that you are physically fit and you have no medical condition that would prevent your full participation and you agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which you might incur as a result of participating in the program.

  • You understand that you may receive physical or verbal assists or adjustments to enhance or correct your body posture during class by either the teacher or an assistant in class. You will take accountability for alerting the teacher and assistant of any injury or impairment in advance before class begins or if you do not want to receive any assists.

  • You understand that Madara reserves the right to make alterations to the timetable, instructors and/or equipment, terms and conditions as well as to those ancillary facilities (e.g. toilets), provided to members and on occasion with minimal notice.

  • You understand that you are able to show up to a class and book at the front desk but that you are advised to book ahead as Madara Yoga reserves the right to cancel a class if there are no bookings.

  • You knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim you may have against Madara for injury or damages that you may sustain as a result of participating in the program.

  • You, your heirs or legal representatives forever release waive, discharge and covenant not to sue for any injury or accident caused by their negligence or other acts.

  • You understand that an area for personal belongings is available during class, however, you agree that Madara is in no way responsible for the loss or damage of any of your belongings while you attend class.

Privacy Policy

Madara needs to gather and use certain information about individuals. These can include customers, suppliers, business contacts, employees, and other people the organisation has a relationship with or may need to contact.

Madara is committed to upholding your privacy and will take care with your personal data. We will only use information about you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, General Data Protection Regulations 2018 and other relevant legislation and regulations.

Our Privacy Policy is set out below; please read it with care. It explains the following:

  • What information we may collect about you

  • How we may use that information

  • In what situations we may disclose your details to third parties

  • Your rights to access the data we collect about you

 

Data security – and how we collect your data

When we collect personal data from you we store it under strict safekeeping and confidentiality measures. We use technical and organisational security measures to protect it against misuse. Any external providers we use to process your data (for instance our class booking system (Momence), must also comply with all relevant legislation about how they store and process your data.

We will collect, store and process your personal information in the manner described in this notice. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date within our knowledge.

What we do with your data and what we don’t do

We will keep information which identifies you only if you attend classes, sign up to our mailing list, or make any other online or in-house purchase, or if you work with us in a paid or voluntary capacity.

We process your personal information for the following:

  • class registration lists for events (courses, classes, workshops, talks etc.)

  • so that we may contact you in case of issues with changes to classes; payment and similar circumstances

  • feedback, research and statistical analysis.

  • And, only with your prior consent, for communication about Madara’s activities, projects and services (e.g. via our e-newsletter).

We do not share or sell your personal information for other organisations to use for their own purposes.

When we run activities in partnership with other organisations we will only share your data with them if you have given us permission to do so.

Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults

We are committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. An important part of doing this is to protect their privacy. If you are age 16 or under, a parent or guardian’s permission will be required before providing any personal information. We will always require their signature on any documentation.

In cases where an adult has given another person permission to speak on their behalf, for instance, a carer, we will ask this person to give consent for Madara to hold the adult’s personal data, as well as proof of permission given and proof of identification. 

Marketing and newsletters

Our e-newsletters will give you news and offers related to Madara and items we think will be of interest to you. We may use a third party provider to send you newsletters.

We will not sell, rent or lease our newsletter subscription lists to any third parties. We may use code within our e-newsletter template to identify which messages you have opened and which links you have clicked on within it to better tailor any future communications.

You can also contact us if you wish to have no further contact from us on any subject. We will remove your details from all subscription lists.

When you visit the website

We use Google Analytics cookies to track anonymous usage statistics but we do not collect any personal information that can be used to identify you. This data helps us analyse web page usage and improve our website in order to tailor it to our audience needs.Google Analytics stores information about what pages you visit, how long you are on the site, how you got there and what you clicked on.

If cookies are used they will only be used to assist the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, but cookies will not be used if we do not consider them to be necessary.

Our website may contain links to other websites. Although the majority of them are our partner organisations we are not responsible for the privacy practices of these and you should read their own privacy information. The information and usage described here applies only to personal data collected by Madara.

Opting out

We will always keep your rights and interests at the forefront. You have the right to opt out of any of this processing at any time. If you wish to do this, you can use the following options:

  • opt out of receiving our e-newsletter (general news & special offers) by using the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any e-newsletter

  • opt out of our notifications & reminders mailing list (booking confirmations, class cancellation notifications and e-receipts) by updating your account preferences

  • contact us to request to unsubscribe from any other emails by using the contact details below.

Please bear in mind that if you opt out, this may affect our ability to carry out tasks above that are for your benefit.

Access to your information and opting out

You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information that we hold about you, to correct any inaccuracies in that information or ask us to delete such records.

If you find any inaccuracies, we will correct them immediately. If you ask us to delete your records we will destroy all of your personal information that we hold in our files.

You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if we have not been able to satisfactorily resolve a problem about our handling of your personal information.
